2012 Day 6 Preview - Wed April 4

Two Group B games on the docket tonight and they should both be OK.

Jamaica vs Northern Ireland, 8:30 p.m. - Jamaica is looking at its best start in four years if it can go 2-0 to start 2012. I can't think of way Jamaica loses this game after its solid win against Colombia on Sunday and Northern Ireland's dreadful performance against Canada. Look for Jamaica to control the middle of the field and get goals from patient play. Jamaica wins 6-2.

Laos vs Colombia, 9:30 p.m. - Laos will win this game handily but it will probably be the most entertaining game of the night. Laos is a fun team to watch when you're looking for technical superiority and against a team like Colombia, which hustles a lot, Laos will need to move the ball quickly and assuredly. I expect some pretty goals. Laos wins 7-1.

Team like Botswana play with all their heritage players in Regina, that is to say, all Batswana (13 in number) in Regina play in WCP cup, something which is very rare to find, we don't play only to win,we also play to have fun, make our country known, all in all just for the pride of it, so if people think we are weak then we are proud to say we have make our country known in Regina and other parts of the world. Our weakness is our strength to be better.

Laos will win very easy tonight, and as for N. Ireland/Jamaica game, I would expect this to be alot closer game as N.Ireland didn't have there regular keeper in the game vs Canada. If he is back tonight, they might pull out a win

I expect Laos and Jamaica to win easily

Almost all the guys on Botswana minus a couple of the white guys are from Botswana. I noticed people talking about a 75% heritage requirement, well Botswana definately qualifies. The question is, how many of these other team qualify. Rep. Ireland and Laos. Hummm .. makes me wonder.

Who is N. Ireland's regular keeper? I saw them play a few friendlies and both of them were weak that I saw! Jamaica's skill will run all over N. Ireland's Div. 4/5 style of play (aggressive physical play to compensate for lack of advanced skill in most parts of the game). I might go as close as a 4-2 game, but I don't see it being a nail biter unless Jamaica craps the bed.

I am not sure who there regular keeper is, but I have played against him in div 2 and div 3 for last few seasons and he is OK. He has kept them in alot of games. But then again, if N.Ireland plays the style that they are used to, it won't matter what keeper they have cause they will lose anyway.

you're probably thinking of Dallas...Div. 3 Chargers I think...quick guy, but nothing crazy special. Don't see Jamaica having a problem with N. Ireland.

The 2 northen Ireland keepers are both duds!

Ha ha Jamaica ties N. Ireland. How bad are they ... ha ha

4-4 Jamaica vs N. Ireland. All this Jamaica hype is finally over. Jamaica aint nothing without Troy and Holness. What a joke. Once again, they won't go through to the playoffs.

Dufus your predictions suck. They are always terribly wrong. Man, do you even know any of the players or watch any of the games. Jamaica 4-4. You say 6-2? Laos 3-1. You say 7-1. Wow. Man you suck.

That might be his name, but he plays for CUFC I think....and to the man who thinks both keepers are duds, you have a hate on for them...didn't make the team or???? Lol

Anonymous said...

No...no hate on for them or the team personally...just call it as I see it. They aren't terrible, but certainly not game changers. And to be honest it just gets tiring listening to bottom dweller teams brag it up like they are top contenders after easy games or easy pools from previous years. N. Ireland is notorious for that!

No one is bragging it up at all. I haven't seen one post from N.Ireland at all saying they are all that and top contenders. If anything, they are prob the team with the least amount of posts. I'm sure there players think they will win all there games as any team would, but the certainly are talking/posting that way.

Anonymous said...

Not talking about posting on here. A few that's I've talked to expected to walk through their pool untouched. Completely delusional.

I am sure every team and players i speak to will say they are going to win their pool as well, as every person is expecting their team to win. But I doubt they are bragging like they are the best in this tournament...that is far from the truth, and i can bet not one person on N.Ireland would or have said that....just like me, I expect my team to win every game we play...if players come out and say they will lose, then they prob will
