Ireland 3, Laos 0 - Recap

Ireland are the champions again and deservedly so. They beat Laos handily, despite the fact that the Laos keeper played a great game and stopped a ton of great chances. Laos attempted to play the same style as El Salvador in the semifinals, and it worked for a while. But then one bad miscue at the back and suddenly David Brown had his first goal of the game and the score was 1-0 for Ireland at half.

Laos pushed a tiny bit more to begin the second half and Ireland capitalized immediately. A cross low into the box was put away fantastically by David Brown as he slid along the ground and redirected it in. The third Ireland goal came as Mike Collins and Jay Tomchuk conducted a nifty give-and-go along the right wing that allowed Jay to walk into the box and roof a rocket over the Loas keepers hands. Laos never really threatened to score. Ireland wins 3-0.

EL Salvador's game type was a smart way to play ROI. Unfortunately for Laos they didn't have the same personal that El Salvador had at the back. ROI deserved the win and the score line was much much closer then the actual game.

who cares about el salvador

Evan was unreal for Laos he tore a muscle in his shoulder. Side note: Adam alsby is a horrible striker that's why laos never had any chances

Enough of the hate comments..... I don't hate any team but this ROI fan goes around spitting venom spoiling the tournament all teams put their effort to win but some have lots of good players and some have not enough!!! That is the reality but put down a team won't make yours bigger!!!

Adam Alsby is a terrible soccer player. He thinks he all big and has an attitude. If Laos had one good top striker they would get a ton of chances. People are scared cause this Alsby guy is a lawyer, but honestly, that doesn't scare me. He no tuff guy. Next year Laos should cut the guy, make some changes. Good team with that one flaw. I agree with the above posted. Sad to see a guy like that ruin their hopes.

I also play with Adam on Laos. I don't like the guy much. I wish he would just quit. I think coach is going to sit him next year if he tries to come back. Not a fan. Wish we could find a couple replacements.

Obviously the above 2 comments are from guys who dont play for laos. Just some people who like to stir shit up. If you guys do, give me a shout or post your name and we'll have a chat. Adam is a great player with a lot of experience and sure he didnt have a lot of chances during the final but all of team Laos had a bad game and Ireland handed it to us! Congrats!

Congrats on ROI winning but the biggest band wagon jumper of all time is Dennis Duckerin just joins teams and sits on the bench and does nothing, any moron can do that

Hey Anonymous at 5:07PM get your facts straight before you post. Dennis was actually asked to come back and coach ROI and he did far more than just sit on the bench. Did you even play in the tournament loser?

I agree with anony:5:07 statement he doesnt do anything, and of course he would say yes I would come back after looking at the roster wouldnt you?

Why is everybody hating? It was a great tournament and the best team won. Why is everybody upset? But one question: Where did Ireland get fans from? That final was loud!!

All the Polish fans came to cheer on Ireland cause apparently after the Laos vs Poland game, the Laos fans were calling Poland "Faggots" n just being rude.

Who knows though!

Confirmative about the above statement. I think it was a nice twist that chants for Ireland were louder than the laosian clappers and drum lol. Fun final to cheer for

it is sad to see how some players put the blame on others.....soccer is about a team not the individual...so who is to blame is the whole team!
