Jamaica should be loaded

To state the obvious, Group D is going to be insanely competitive. Canada, Germany, and Jamaica are all upgrading talent from 2010 and Poland and Ukraine will be above-average good. I've already covered two players Canada is getting, I'll get to Germany soon, but for now I'm going to focus on Jamaica. From what I've heard, they're not losing anyone significant from the 2010 squad and they're bringing in at least a couple quality players - possibly more.

Kevin Holness should be returning. He says he needs to be back in shape, but from what I've watched his conditioning is more than what it needs to be to compete. I'm guessing its 95% that he'll play. Saskatoon's Mark Korthius should also be returning. He had to miss a couple games in 2010 but he's back on the roster for 2011. Regina's Garrett Peters should also be returning, provided he finishes exams at Trinity Western in time to make a difference.

Two major additions are supposedly the Prime brothers, Karmal and Amilcar, from Saskatoon. I've personally never played against either of them, but I've heard from numerous people that they're solid additions. The only other things I've heard are rumours of more former Canada Games players, but nothing definite and no actual names.

theres no way jamaica beats germany. They were suposed to be way better last year and they didnt win then they're not going to be able to beat them this year

Mark is the most talented player in the tournament. No doubt about that. The Prime brothers are decent at best. The older one excelled when he was younger as he had the body of man playing with children. As for the younger one, he has never achieved much. Ok pick ups at best.

Germany is the equivalent of Norway. Over hyped players that are useless. The only difference between Norway and Germany is that the Norwegians are abit more reserved. While the Germans are outspoken punks who just like to stir up trouble. Karl Dahle and Kirk Evans. Enough said.

germany is outspoken punks?!! norway has a blog for its team to stir shit up. germany destroyed norway last year and they'll easily win pool D

karl was trying to start fights left and right last year and has been posting on this site anonymously. Germany = PUNK BITCHES

There's no way to prove if anyone was posting things anonymously or not and I'm tired of all this IP address talk. I love the anonymous posts and if someone starts calling people out using IP addresses again I'll delete that in a second. I can't remember Karl trying to start anything last year and Norway played Germany and we were in the same pool.

Karl doesn't even deserve a post trashing him. He is a pussy scum bag. Just saying that gives him more credit then he deserves

I think you are an idiot.

for one, Norway doesnt have any players on their roster that are hyped, let alone over-hyped. And 2, Germany and Norway play completely different styles. Norway relies on defending to get them through games. Germany on the other hand attacks non stop, which is why they led the tournament in scoring last year with 35 goals.

I believe karl did try to fight alvaro after the el salvador game, because alvaro was trying to hurt people, which is probably the only aspect of his game that hes good at.

I've actually watched the highlights from the ES vs Germany game last year (ES highlights were posted via Facebook) and all the tackles that were being complained about were tough yet clean tackles except for the exception of one on Karl's brother. Karl had been talking smack all tournament long and his brother got snapped. BOO HOO!
It was even funnier watching Karl trying to fight Alvaro as he just walked away with a smirk of his face.

What was Karl thinking? He'd get tooled. His is a pudgey little pussy who thinks he is tough. I would love to have seen Alvero dummy him.

That's quite debatable Yadda yadda; I did throw some vicious tackles out of retaliation, yet when you have a few Germany players taking cheap shots from behind and then trash talking you, then what happens happens. I probably shouldn't have let my temper get the best out of me; yet it did.
There were a few tackles that happened with some bad intentions out of retaliation yet majority of the time, with some exceptions, I did get the ball.
It happens and it is what it is, I am not making excuses and hiding behind an anonymous post. Yet that's the past and I let my emotions take over. If you have more skills then me yadda yadda; I'll gladly have you teach me what you can do with the ball... I'm a fast learner ;P

As for Karl trying to fight me, I don't encourage fighting to resolve situations. I think it's pointless to even mention it. If Karl wants to continue to confront me as he did numerous times last year; that his choice. Like I said there's no place for fighting in soccer, or at the WCP. Am I intimidated by Karl, not one bit; yet I view fighting as a sport not a means of resolution.

If anyone has the desire to be a fighter I recommend you take some mixed martial arts to relief yourself of that desire.

Does that mean you wouldn't fight karl given the opportunity?

Who'd waste their time fighting Karl? He is a punk. He's tried to start enough fights. Read the post the answer is obviously no and good for him. That last post took balls to write even more so as it wasn't posted by an ANON!!!!

Who won between Afghanistan and Jamaica?

Anonymous said...

i think a more appropriate question would be... WHO CARES?

haha this stuff gets taken way to far, I bet the tournament is filled with awkward moments now in the stands because of known bloggers and peoples hatred for them and other people like karl and kirk. Its just a tournament for a great game and its in regina and we should be proud of the fact we can host suck a popular and exicting soccer event. Anyway Jamaica will be good this year and this groups level of difficulty will obviously show who is good enough and who is not. Leave personal beefs and grudges behind, this tournie schedule isnt even out yet, lots of ex games to be played and preperation to be done to get out of this group alive!
