Get your hate on!

If you've ever wondered who the most hated people (not players - People!) in the WCP Cup are, wonder no more. The Team Canada Blog is having a vote on the subject. Never mind that most WCP participants don't hate anyone - they just want to have fun - this vote will decide once and for all who we should all despise.

The author of the blog (Dooley) enjoys calling people classy. He embodies classy because he knows that a vote on who hates who is the epitome of classy. It's so classy that I've made the list! And the best part is, the Canada blog now eerily resembles the Norway Blog, to the extent that most of the info on that blog was on the Norway blog first...... Classy.

Make a topic about how pointless these blogs are every topic has one good comment before all hell breaks lose.

I realize many of the comments go way off track, but that's something to get through and it's expected. I'll try and keep mixing all of the topics up so that there are more interesting ones to comment on.

Swing it whatever way you want to Braden. I am just trying to have a little fun with people that are commented on the most. You don't know a fucking thing about me, you have never even talked with me. I find it funny you hate the Dooley's and Canada so much, yet you have no real reason. I keep laughing at your posts because you keep trying to dig me, and you have all these anonymous posts backing you up, but they don't want to put there names. I am guessing they are weak and afraid or they are just you. I have no problem with people hating me, or my blog I am sure I will still manage to get a full night of sleep. I also will have a full night of sleep when you attack Canada. People hate the Dooleys for whatever reason, but 98% of those people have never shared a beer with us, and I challenge anyone to enjoy a couple beers with us and see if you think the same way. People are a lot different off the pitch then when they are on it, it is just too bad you would rather dislike a team and family so bad you make complete posts out of it instead of just having some fun with it. Good luck in the tournament Braden, and have fun because that is what this shit is all about.

Kirk O'Dooley

P.S. I enjoy O'Dooley, I wanted to give back to the Dooley name an restore what my Grandfather was forced to remove. But say what you want.

It occurs to me that as a soccer mom, former team manager, and coach’s wife, I have seen lots of crazy politics in soccer here in SK but cannot believe some of the rudeness in the posted comments amongst players! An upstanding soccer guy who we all know and love has put this great tournament together out of pure love for the sport and its participants, and to mentor players in this province. It is a shame and a disgrace to see such appalling comments about wishing broken legs and polls about most hated players. Why not focus on all the positivity like how this tournament brings all our cultures together to celebrate the world’s number one sport? So much goes into the planning of this tournament... from the organizers, the hundreds of hours of volunteerism, the venue, the officials, the families, the fans, the sponsors etc. etc. I would like to encourage everyone to remember that “negativity breeds contempt” and that when it all boils down, the soccer community is a tight knit group that enjoys camaraderie, good sportsmanship, and fair competition. It is very easy to hide behind anonymity and write mean, ignorant, and hurtful comments. Instead, maybe consider having some couth, integrity, and class. Anonymous or not, please think twice about posting negative, inappropriate comments. It is so unnecessary.

By the way, there will be four groups of polls and the top four most voted with then go to the finals.

Dooley, don't take it seriously if its all in good fun. Of course I'll go for beers with anyone, I was probably the drunkest one at the draw. Just understand that a poll about hating is going to open things up a bit.

Braden you always back down when push comes to shove. Your the guy pushing the envelope and then you run away scared. All in good fun until people stand up and confront you about it.
Smarten up. I think you've made enough enemies.

I 100% agree with Maria. It's unfortunate that a tournament that could be so great and could get some good promotion/hype behind it is relagated to whining and pointless trash talking back and forth.

Maria, I respect your opinion and understand where you're coming from. Thanks for posting. This blog is not meant to be a hype machine for the WCP Cup. I don't get paid to write it and I certainly don't get anything special from the organizers, nor do they in any way endorse anything that is written on here. This blog is a Norway hype machine and doubles as a discussion board for topics I and other people find of interest. If many of the topics are negative then that's just what everyone who reads the blog has to live with. I make no apologies and I'll continue to post whatever interesting comes to mind.

Can I be on the "most hated" poll?

I'll give you free shoes and teppanyaki!

Sorry Bryan. That poll is for exclusive company only. People need to loathe you for you to make the cut and if you're giving away free shoes and free delicious Teppanyaki then people will only love you. If I win then I'll consider your name for the ballot in 2012. I think I'd have earned the right to choose my competitors.
